Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod - WELS

The Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) is the Christian denomination to which Zebaoth Lutheran Church belongs. By adopting the name Lutheran we are saying that we stand, as Luther did, on the truth of the Scriptures alone. No hesitation. No qualification. No evasive explanation. A Lutheran church believes that God’s Word is true in all it teaches. A Lutheran church bases all that it teaches and all that it does on the Scriptures and on nothing else.

Evangelical Lutheran Synod

The Evangelical Lutheran Synod is another Christian denomination in doctrinal fellowship with the WELS. The message we tell the world is that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and our Savior. Even when humanity had been corrupted by sin and all of its effects, God decided in His mercy to save us. Jesus lived a perfect life in our place, which is possible because He is truly and essentially human. He also died in our place, suffering our punishment upon the cross. The result: forgiveness of sins, eternal life, and salvation.

Milwaukee Federation of WELS Churches

The Milwaukee Federation of WELS Churches is a local organization of approximately 60 Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod (WELS) churchesin the Greater Milwaukee area. The Federation sponsors area campus and radio ministries, thrift stores, and a local secondary school, Wisconsin Lutheran High School.

Confessional Evangelical Lutheran Conference - CELC

Providing a forum for confessional Lutherans around the world, the Confessional Evangelical Lutheran Conference (CELC), made up of 24 member churches worldwide, gathers at triennial meetings for encouragement, fellowship, and an internationally united voice. Members of the CELC provide theological and doctrinal essays that further clarify issues facing the WELS and other confessional Lutheran churches in our time.

Rev. Dan Koelpin, newly elected president of the CELC, says, "In an era of theological bewilderment, the CELC stands as a beacon of light, bringing the illuminating power of God’s truth to bear on the confusing philosophies that exist in our sin-darkened world."
